Paste one old page and a few lines about what's true today. AI can point out what no longer matches, so you can fix it fast.
Most websites have a page nobody has touched in a long time. You give AI the old words and what's true now, and it lists what looks out of date. You stay in charge of the facts.
Wrong hours, a service you stopped or an old staff name can make people think you're closed. Fixing a page you have is much faster than writing a new one.
A made-up example: a flower shop's "About us" page still said "new in town" and listed a wedding service she'd stopped. AI flagged both. She fixed them and cut the page in half.
Open a free AI tool, like ChatGPT, Gemini or Copilot. Leave out names, phone numbers and anything private. Copy this starter prompt, fill in the parts in brackets, and paste it in.
Here are the words from an old page on my website: [paste the words] Here is what is true today: [a few lines about what changed] List anything on the old page that is out of date or doesn't match what's true today.
What a good answer looks like: A short list of things that no longer match. Check each one. If the AI missed something you know is old, add it yourself.
The fuller lesson in the Member library we're building adds the full rewrite, shorter and plainer, plus a way to mark anything the AI isn't sure about. See what Member will include
The takeaway: Fix one old page, and your whole website looks more awake.
The one you haven't looked at in the longest time. "About us" pages are a common pick.

Some tools can, but in this guide you paste the words in. That way you choose exactly what it sees.
